Jurby is a low site situated on sand cliffs. The areas used for take off are problematic because of extensive growth of ferns and bracken fouling lines and rolling sand dunes out front make for rotor on launch. Care is needed at the sand quarry south of launch as this also has rotor. For these reasons this site is not used much any more.
