Manx Paragliders is the short name for the Manx Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club which exists to facilitate and promote hang gliding and paragliding in the Isle of Man.
The club has been active in one form or another for around 25 years. Initially the focus was almost exclusively on hang gliding but today only one island resident pilot owns a serviceable hang glider, to the best of our knowledge.
The club usually meets on the first Thursday of ever month at the Creg ny Baa pub (around 8pm) apart from during TT when the Shore at Laxey is usually the preferred venue. Please see the Manx Paragliders Facebook Page for up to date information and if you belong to Facebook you can join the Manx Paragliders Facebook Group.
The club itself has no facilities to train pilots but one of our members runs a paragliding school on the island. If you are interested in learning to fly paragliders then please visit the Manx Paragliding School website and Noel Humphreys will be happy to help you.
